Role Purpose

Airtel Tanzania PLC wishes to recruit for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect position. The role reports directly to the Business Solutions Manager in Business Enterprise Department. He/She will be responsible to provide technical assistance and guidance during the Pre-Sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical partners about capabilities, and technical supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on business proposals, encompassing Tenders documentation (RFQ) and Product demonstration and Presentations.

1.Pre-Sales;

Providing Pre-Sales, technical solutions and design to new & existing Corporate customers and other managed service solutions; Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery (360 end to end).

2. Managing Sales Process;

Actively driving and managing the pre sales process with direct customers, articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users; Adhere to the Company’s Product & Solution Quality and Business Processes.

 3.SLA Management;

Service Level Agreement management to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in Delivering network availability and KPI’s. Work closely and collaborate with other departments in issues involving (PCN) and IP Network services in order to meet overall company goals.

 4.Sales Management;

Manages, qualifies, validates and ensures the appropriate technical sales strategy and activities are agreed to by the sales team and help to drive revenue; Ensuring in liaison with other functional heads and section managers, provide a center (solution bespoke) of excellence for project management within the company ensuring training, mentoring and coaching of colleagues and other departmental staff; Provide adequate business and resource forecasting to the Management; Provide accurate and timely management information, to include activity reports, bid review, project forecast.

5.Process Management;

Drive the end-to-end process documentation, implementation and compliance to processes, procedures and policies to ensure seamless operation between Airtel and the Corporate Customer base;

6.Work Order Management;

Ensure that changes to the network, including integration of new nodes and elements is done in a controlled manner with minimum disruption to the existing network and that all changes are appropriately documented. (feedback to customer end with responsible KAM)

7.BCM / DRP;

Ensure operational alignment and adherence to the company Solution delivery policy and Sales Strategy; Address customers’ requirements through in-depth understanding of the industrial behavior and business needs of the segment

Academic and Qualifications and Experience;

 

  • University Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Advance Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Relevant sales experience and analytical skills or its equivalent
  • Knowledge of mobile telecommunications network architectures/ technologies
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Telecommunications/IT Operations Management (Telecom/IT Product and Solutions)
  • Project Management knowledge and experience would be advantageous
  • Experience in IP Environment-Dynamic Routing Protocols-EIGRP, BGP, OSPF and MPLS
  • Competencies and Behavior required;
